As she creates my sculptures, she strives for balance more so between linear and geometric lines versus asymmetric and mobile. Josefine gives her sculptures a calm, stringent and rustic exterior in order to let shapes play the principal role in the artistic experience, aiming for a synergy between shape and surface; the surface supports and highlights the shape while the shape brings out the beauty and vitality of the surface through the sculpture’s position in the room and the light that falls on it.
