The irregular shaped Tapestry no.03 explores different yarns and techniques that creates a vibrant and artistic wall piece. Elements of natural dark grey fields adds a contrasting shade to the over all beige hues.
It is an avant garde interpretation of traditional textile art –handcrafted and unique. The piece is hung using Sheesham wood planks, inserted in pockets on the flat weaved backing. Sheesham, one of the most durable and sustainable woods, is a native to India, where the tapestries are handcrafted.
Cappelen Dimyr uses only natural fibers such as unbleached linen and wool in an effort to make products thathave minimal harmful impact on the environment. Every piece is trimmed by hand,washed with natural soap, and dried under the sun. Cappelen Dimyr uses no chemicals in any part of the production, and constantly strives to improve their practices in respect for people and the planet. The products are certified by Good Weave Certification and Care & Fair.
